Because every hat is made just for you, we begin with a $150 deposit.
Here's what happens next:

We'll personally reach out to confirm your size, style, and preferred colors.
Together we'll design your one-of-a-kind hat.
Your $150 is applied toward your final purchase.
Shipping is calculated separately based on your delivery location. Complimentary pickup is available from our shop by appointment.
Most custom hats range from $260–$400 Premium Wool/ 6x Fur Felt depending on your design and choice of hat material.
No two hats will ever be the same.
Because every hat is made one at a time, we only open a limited number of custom orders.

One of our favorite parts of this journey is seeing each customer's vision come to life. Every Pāpale is custom made, so no two hats are ever exactly alike—and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Measure Your Head for Your Pāpale
A beautifully fitting Pāpale starts with one simple measurement.
Don't worry if you've never measured for a hat before—most people haven't! Just follow the steps below, send us your measurement, and we'll determine the best size for your custom Pāpale.
What You'll Need
- A flexible measuring tape
OR
- A piece of string
- A ruler or tape measure
Step 1: Measure Your Head
Wrap the measuring tape around your head where your Pāpale will naturally sit.
The tape should rest:
- Across the middle of your forehead
- Just above your ears
- Around the widest part of your head
Keep the tape level all the way around your head and snug against your skin, but not uncomfortably tight.
Step 2: Record Your Measurement
Measure in either:
- Inches
- Centimeters
Either is perfect, we'll take care of the rest.
Step 3: Measure Again
For the best fit, measure your head one more time.
If your measurements are slightly different, send us both.
Don't Have a Measuring Tape?
No problem!
Use a piece of string, ribbon, or another non-stretch cord.
- Wrap it around your head where your Pāpale will sit.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Lay it flat next to a ruler or tape measure.
- Record the measurement.
Send Us Your Measurement
When you reply to your welcome email, include:
- Your head measurement
- Whether it's in inches or centimeters
- A photo of the measuring tape on your head (optional, but helpful if you're unsure)
We'll determine the correct hat size before we begin crafting your custom Pāpale.
